5 Habits to Take into 2023

Jan 2
If I could think back to what helped me progress the most in 2022, it would surely be the habits I’ve built over the years.

Here are 5 habits that I will take with me to 2023.
👉 Exercising regularly:

Since school, we have been conditioned to sit for 7 hrs daily. While I excelled at academic work, I paid less attention to my physical fitness. As I grew older, I started noticing the toll this could have on you.

Physical activity helps to burn more calories, enhance flexibility, and boost energy and endurance.

This is why I made physical activity part of my daily routine. How?
  • Include short exercises between meetings,
  • have regular activity time (whatever you like - running, gym, basketball)
  • Pair up with an accountability partner.

👉 Gratitude journaling:

One thing that improved my life is gratitude journaling! What helped me stay consistent with that was the @Gratitude app, which prompts you with questions to reflect on.

I realised there is a lot to be grateful for even during challenging times, so this is your sign to start writing a thank you note to:
  • the friend who has always been there,
  • the person that makes you laugh the most,
  • the friends and family members that love you unconditionally.

Sending
notes to my loved ones helped increase the well-being of everybody! Here is your reminder to do it too!

👉 Eating healthier:

Earlier this year, I found an app @Nutracheck that helped me track my food's intake and its essential nutrients. It was a game-changer!

Did you know that an off-the-shelf soup can contain more calories than a burger? Or that protein oat bars are high in sugar? Knowledge is power!

Educating yourself about what you eat is power. This is your sign to pay attention to what you eat as a small change can make a big difference.

👉 Having the courage to show up online:

Since I launched my business, I’ve struggled with showing up online and sharing what I have been doing. I didn’t want it to look like I was bragging about what my business had been achieving.

I have found a 1-2-1 session with Sophie Miller from Pretty Little Marketer to help reflect on my personal brand.

At the end of the day, those who support what I do will be happy to see and learn about our news. And that’s all that matters!

👉 Shopping more sustainably and healthier:

We don't realise sometimes the number of chemicals and processing that exist in most things we use in our daily life, from shampoo to deodorant. It takes time to figure out the details and compare brands.

This year, I have decided to invest time in making better choices. I opted for healthier and more sustainable products.

This is why I switched to @Honest mobile, a transparent and honest provider which helps track my usage and its carbon footprint.

I am also shifting to products that contain more organic ingredients (shampoo to deodorant) and consuming healthier spreads with fewer ingredients from @spreadly.
