Alaa El Hachem is an experienced entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in sustainable rural development. He founded Explorers, a catalyst ecotourism agency in Lebanon, promoting and executing outdoor activities, as well as managing accommodation facilities such as guesthouses and campsites. He also founded The Highest Event, a unique camping experience that attracts over 4000+ participants every year. Alongside with his entrepreneurial career, he is working as reforestation site supervisor with USAid funded Lebanon Reforestation Initiative, a tourism consultant with the World Food Programme (WFP), and a national consultant with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). Alaa is devoted to community service. He has organised many fundraising events such as Hike to Cure and White Trail. He has also collaborated with companies to organise community service responsibility events for their employees.
